1. BING:

First of which is bing from microsoft world . Bing search engine holds second position in the market  with a market share of nearly seven percent. When doing a search you'll notice that the layout is very similar to what you'd find on google. What I like about bing is that their bing image search is far superior to that of google and its other rivals with a more user-friendly layout. Also they have a rewards program called bing rewards that allows you to accumulate points while searching that can be reclaimed on their site for giftcards and other goodies

2. DUCK DUCK GO:

If you've grown tired of having your personal data tracked and logged by google. We'll now take a look at several privacy focused browsers. The most well known is duckduckgo. Duckduckgo search engine don't track your searches or online activities and the results are aggregated for more than 100 different sources including bing yandex and many others. You can easily change the theme by going to settings in the upper right and selecting themes. I utilize the dark theme and there are five others for you to browse. A cool element on duckduckgo search is called bangs which rapidly takes you to the search results on other sitesThis works on more than ten thousand sites

3. ONE SEARCH

Prior this year verizon  launched a security focused web search engine called one search with results powered by bing. They claimed to have six key privacy focused features including no cookies, no user tracking, no search history, pure unfiltered results, keyboard encryption and share links with confidence. Which means when you share links with others that link will expire with in the hour. As many of you know we're not huge fans of yahoo which I mentioned earlier, verizon media is the parent company of both yahoo! and one search while yahoo has had massive data breaches in the past, one search has yet to have any major issues that we're aware of. Hopefully with one search the extra layers of privacy include better methods of preventing data breaches.

4. ECOSIA And Give Water:

The first of two charity search engines is Ecosia. They've been around since 2009. They used their profits to plant trees around the world. Up till now they've planted more than 100 million trees. The search results page has a pleasant clean design. The search engine used is a modified version of bing

The other charity search engine worth checking out is give water. The profits generated from ads are given to charitable partners who distribute clean water and sanitation as with many others already mentioned. The search results on give water are also powered by bing.

The internet can be a dangerous place especially for young children. Kiddle is a customized version of google powered by google safe search with sites and pages written specifically for kids. These search results are kid-friendly with bigger thumbnails and images with larger font. So if you have small children i'd highly recommend that you check out kiddle.
